An Eighties style electro-pop ditty about the increasing blandness and homogenous nature of our town and city centres, where originality and innovation in business / building design are being driven out by uniformity & chain stores / multinational corporations.

And no, I'm not picking on Manchester. I like it! But yes, the track title *is* a bit of an homage to a certain A-Ha song that I love...

But for the trams well – this could be Leeds!
Lost for a landmark – yet certain we’re “here”

Remains a mystery

Modernised, sanitised
Saved from demolition
By being changed into recognition..

Knocked down in droves yet replaced with the same
Making modern day nightmares
For battery existence
From bright satanic offices

Watch them rebuilding Rome out of steel & chrome
See a future so empty for towns that can’t sleep
A dystopic vision of a caffeine fuelled future
All bloated by burgers you’d barely call meat

Must Anglicised mean sterilised?
Leeched of individuality
